he NCDAP Power Workshop (NCDAPW) professionally prepares course participants for NCDA certification over a short time frame. Those who complete the course are therefore in a position of being able to use their training time effectively. In the first step they gain the basic knowledge before then completing the necessary learning sequences for deepening their know-how. At the same time, a wide range of practical exercises in the lab give a realistic insight into the systems, providing optimal preparation for use of the systems during the working day.

During the NCDAPW power workshop, the following course contents are taught over ten days in compressed format:

!Data ONTAP Fundamentals (DOTF)
In this unit the course participants are taught about the basic support and administration functions for NetApp storage devices with the Data ONTAP operating system.

This course builds on the basic Data ONTAP Fundamentals course and provides the necessary knowledge for the use of the Common Internet File System (CIFS) on Windows platforms.

In this unit the participants gain the necessary know-how for using the Network File System (NFS) on Unix platforms.

!Data ONTAP SAN Administration (SAN)
In this unit, the Fast Lane specialists impart the knowledge for the administration and management of storage area networks using the NetApp Appliances.

!Data Protection and Retention (DPR)
This unit provides the necessary training for the configuration and administration of the NetApp Data Protection Solutions.
