NAS Operations and Management with Celerra (NSCA)

This course is intended for anyone who configures, manages, or architects EMC NAS solutions with EMC Celerra.

To understand the content and successfully complete this course, a student must have a complete knowledgebase/skill set. The student must have an understanding of:

• Ethernet switch configuration, to include managed switch features like VLANs
• TCP/IP networking
• Ethernet settings, to include duplex, throughput, and port channeling
• Basic Microsoft Windows administration skills, including:
  • Managing users and groups
  • Managing files and directories
  • Microsoft Windows domain infrastructures
  • Basic UNIX administration skills, including:
  • Managing users and groups
  • Managing files and directories
• Familiarity with the Celerra set of hardware architecture

This course focuses on configuration and administrative operations of EMC Celerra and its most commonly used features using Celerra Manager. Management tasks (file system creation, export, permissions, security, and availability) for Celerra platforms in a Windows, UNIX environments are covered. This currently support Celerra version 5.6.

Upon successful completion of this course, participants should be able to:
